Celebrating 35 Years: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude

Today I turned 35 years old and wow, what a milestone! Happy birthday to me! I’m so grateful to God for allowing me to see another year of health and happiness. 🙏🏾✨

Story Time:
A little over two weeks ago, I had one of the worst anxiety attacks of my life. It caught me completely off guard after feeling invincible and pushing myself to the limit. Working 7 days a week, 14-hour days, my body finally shut down, and I entered a dark place.

Although today I am not 100%, I’m so much better. This time, I could not ignore my mind and body. 🧘🏾‍♂️💪🏾

I’ve always been an overachiever, driven and passionate. I’ve bent over backward to reach goals and help anyone I could. I was always pushing for the next big achievement, the next project, in a rush to chase the dragon, only to find out I’d been overlooking myself in a rush for no reason.

I have accomplished so much success and achieved so much to be proud of at 35 that I cannot doubt God would look down on me and say, “Well done, son.” 🌟🙌🏾

Inspiration for the New Chapter:
In this new chapter, it’s now time to learn that I don’t have to go so fast in a rush anymore. It’s important to sit back and relish in your success, take breaks, focus on your health, and get proper rest. Just like God did in the Bible after creating the earth, He rested. “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.” (Genesis 2:2) 🌍✨

You won’t be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor if you’ve worn yourself out getting there. This has been my lesson as I enter this new chapter of my life and celebrate another happy birthday. Go easy on yourself! 🌱💖

Inspirational Quotes:

  • “Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” – Jim Rohn
  • “Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” – Eleanor Brownn

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey. Here’s to health, happiness, and many more years of growth. 🥂🎉 #BirthdayReflection #GratefulHeart #SelfCareJourney #HappyBirthday

Happy Birthday any many more years to come. Often time we as humans feel like there’s not enough time in the day due to activities of our daily livings, so we will rush, rush, rush. We do need to slow down. I myself will work 6 out of 7 days (12 hour shifts) which my body has built a tolerance to, but it is too much (ugh, I need to slow down). I love old R&B music and I listen to it constantly on my way back and forth from work ( I’m a 75 driver). So one day a couple weeks ago I decided to drive home on 41 (my music blasting), something spoke to me and said turn that music off and look at the clouds and listen to nature ( I did) and when I tell you that is the best feeling. The clouds was so fluffy looking and white ( look like a giant cotton ball, I could hear the birds chirping, oh how peaceful was the sound), It reminded me of how great our Creator is and he did this for his people and we need to stop rushing, slow down. Relax and Thank God for the many blessings that he has bestowed upon us. And I thank him everyday, everyday.

Wow reading this I really saw me, so often we push others while neglecting ourselves, I am so guilty of not harkening to my body when it tells me pene enough sit down or I will lay you down. God is so faithful he covers and protects us even when we can’t see danger. You have a beautiful spirit son . I am so proud of you. Rest!!!
